Just read there is a facebook movie in the works. With Aaron Sorkin writing the screenplay!? To be honest, I actually would be pretty interested in it. Remember Pirates of Silicon Valley? I loved that movie!
I’m still finding it a little hard to believe that Aaron Sorkin (he of A Few Good Men, he of The West Wing) is writing the screenplay for the upcoming Facebook movie. But not only is he, but upon hearing the proposal (based on Ben Mezrich’s “The Accidental Billionaires”), Sorkin claims it’s the fastest he’s “ever said ‘yes’ to anything.”

Facebook takes another step in the arms race to take over the online world. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. A number of outlets are reporting that Facebook has acquired Friendfeed. Including TechCrunch. Friendfeed is a nifty little tool that consolidates updates from several different social networking sites. It was started by four Google alums (speaking of world domination).
At this point details on the acquisition are still very sparse, but it’s clearly a good match. Over the last year or so, Facebook has “borrowed” quite a few features that FriendFeed popularized, including the ‘Like’ feature and an emphasis on real-time news updates.
