Wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it at the time. You have to pay for your domain name. But depending on the name, it’s pretty cheap. I got this one for around $10 for a year. GoDaddy.com has hosting also, but I liked WordPress.com. GoDaddy has free hosting but they’ll put an ugly banner ad across the top of your site. WordPress.com is free if you want to do a blog, the basic package is, which is what I’m using so far. There are some upgrades you can purchase. Which actually I did have to purchase an upgrade to get the domain name forwarded from Go Daddy to here, that was another $10 for a whole year. The free hosting with WordPress does not get you the domain name you want, it may be something like jon.wordpress.com instead of jon.com. But, you can purchase a domain name from WordPress for around the same price I did at GoDaddy. I just didn’t decide on WordPress til after I already got the domain name from GoDaddy.
